GLISTENING DARKNESS

This mural project is a collaboration between Magdalena Wiegner aka Magwie and artist Sophia Melone, created for the hallway of the iconic SO36 club in Berlin.

It shows fascinating beings unfolding their full splendor in the deep, mysterious oceans of this world—silent, drifting, completely immersed in their own sense of time and logic. They move through darkness with an almost unreal grace, like liquid light: self-contained, luminous, and complete.

Within the context of Berlin’s nightlife and club culture, these figures reflect those who exist beyond conventional norms. They embody identities that do not conform but instead thrive in the in-between—expressions of radical individuality, resilience, otherness, and a beauty beyond the ordinary.

Installed as a mural in the hallway of the legendary SO36 club in Berlin, the work becomes part of a living cultural space where art, music, and identity intersect. The mural transforms a transitional passage into an immersive visual experience rooted in Berlin’s underground history and creative spirit.
